My son is 27 months old and loves laying on the pillow in my bed. Can I give him one in his crib? I feel like it should be safe but I wanted to get some other opinions. TIA
We gave DD a pillow at a year. She would often nap in the living room on a pillow by that point anyway so I figured she would be fine at night with it.
Yup- our pedi gave us the ok at a year, but I just bought them pillows a few weeks ago at 20 months. I just bought the cheapest/most flat ones they had at Target.
Yep. Target has rectangular travel pillows (they look just like a real pillow but are smaller). The only reason my 22 month old doesn't have a pillow is that I don't want him standing on it to crawl out of his crib. He uses a pillow for nap time at daycare, though.

We just bought a Len crib pillow from IKEA for DD (13 months). Need to wash it first but I noticed she liked lying down on our pillows so I figured she'd be fine with a small crib pillow.
Definitely. My kids all had pillows by about 18 months. I just made sure they were really flat so they couldn't use them to scale the crib rails as easily (they never even tried).
