Because mine are few and far between lately but I just hit 1000 miles for the year. I don't know if I'll reach last year's total, but I'll take it. Intern year what?

I ran my 8 mile training run Sunday and I was 8 minutes faster than the last cycle. And it was definitely a much easier effort, weather played into this but after my 8 miler last cycle I was questioning what I was doing this time I'm questioning how aggressive I can get with my goal setting.
This feel like a lukewarm AW, but I did okay at my 10 miler yesterday. LOL I went out a tad too fast (I had to in order to get around everyone) and then it was difficult to slow back down, so I was forced to try hold on, rather than running neg splits. I held back a bit in the middle miles, because I have a weird thing going on with my left calf, but it was all just very okay.
I didn't have a time goal (it was around 1:14:40, I think), but I had a pace goal of mid 7:20s. This is mainly because my race paces are consistent. My 15k pace is roughly 5 seconds faster than my half pace, half pace is consistently 20-25 sec faster than MP. If I have a 7:55 MP goal, then I needed mid 7:20s. I finished with 7:24.
Honestly, I was surprised. I have not done any speed work other than a couple tempos here & there & some MP miles. It has been awhile since I have run below 7:45 for an extended period of time. I ran a monster 23 mile run & a 60+ mile week the week before. So, yay? LOL It neither gave me an "I'm delusional" or a "I'm going to kick this race's ass" feeling, so I continue on with my set plan. It will all come down to execution.
I just got back from yoga (JUST what I needed tonight), and I'm happy I've stuck with it.
That may seem dumb, but I was really intimidated about starting last month. Balance and flexibility have always been problem areas for me. I'm definitely behind many of the women now that I'm in a regular class instead of intro, but I'm doing what I can where I'm at. So yay.
I felt a lot of confidence with my long run this weekend. If i can maintain that pace or better, I could PR for the marathon (hear that, tuggyruns - WE could PR). Definitely not fast by any means, but i'm a content racer - just to run the races.
AND
we just booked a holiday tropical trip (hot) it will be good post-race recovery & gearing up for another one a month later!
I joined one of my two running groups on Saturday after not running with them for a while, and they all talked about how I'm too fast for them. It made me feel good.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

Oh yeah, and I ran IN THE RAIN. I hate rain with a passion, but it felt great that I didn't give up.

The second 9 miles of my 18 on Saturday was 12 minutes faster than the first 9. Yes, there was some downhill action, and yes, my first 1.5 ish was with DH, but 12 minutes? And I felt SO strong.

I already bragged about the article I got published online about crewing ultra races...but the RD of that race emailed me and said he enjoyed it. I feel special!
And I went to the gym two days in a row! Well, weekdays [Friday/Monday] but that's pretty awesome...right?!
I have to AW my DH. My birthday is tomorrow and he surprised me by pushing his flight back a day so we could celebrate tonight. He had dinner ready when I got home from powersculpt tonight along with a beautiful new gym bag filled with a manduka yoga mat, towel, and Athleta chatarunga capris. He knows the way to this H&Fer's heart.
Mine is not me, but it's my DD's first race photo! She is pleased as punch to be on "the real internet". She is the one in maroon with pigtails. It's from her XC meet this past weekend.

I just power cleaned 46 kg - new PR! I was testing the weights for my first competition (hold me), and I decided to just see how heavy I could go on my clean. Funny thing is that my power clean is now officially heavier than my squat clean because my poor little legs are weak after taking time off for injury, so now I will be squatting 24/7 to get those numbers back too!
I clocked in a PB for the 10k on Saturday morning by more than 5 minutes, at 3am, during Ragnar after taking a cross country red-eye home to run the race.

I walked 2 miles yesterday in 37 min. Haha. I'm also in my 10th month of pregnancy and am rocking a human head in my pelvis, so yea, there's my excuse ;-) Reading your posts keeps me motivated to bounce back after childbirth and I'm so looking forward to some legit running and lifting in the coming months :-)

I check FB everyday, looking for her pretty little face! BabyCTB...
I have a huge 9 hour presentation on Saturday and I am being evaluated. I am equal parts nervous and excited. I am more than prepared, but this is BIG for my fitness career.

Love it! Our season ends this week. I'm a little sad about it. We have been having a great time this year.
Lol, at this rate she's gonna be rocking a cone head. She's sooo low, just come out already! I'm scheduled for an induction on Sunday... Eek!
If she does...at least the coneyness goes down quick AJ had a maaaajor conehead thanks to me pushing for 2.5 hours and needing the vacuum to get him out before I lost my mind (and passed out from exhaustion) and I was surprised how fast it went down.
My AW? Well, let's see. I only ate one pack of Almond Joys while waiting at the Kroger clinic for my pinkeye drops this morning...and haven't eaten ALL the Halloween candy in the house. Yet.
