The last 3 nights, DD has gone down for the night just fine, then wakes up about an hour later maaaaad. She will cry, suck on the pacifier, cry, suck on the pacifier, cry, suck on the pacifier, then usually just start crying and crying (pacifier typically doesn't fall out of her mouth until she really starts crying). I pick her up, make sure she hasn't pooped, rock her back to sleep. Put her back down, wash, rinse repeat for about two more cycles. Then she falls asleep for the night, wakes up for her usual feeding and back to sleep. She also has a bit of a cold. Has been chewing on her hands and drooling like crazy, which could mean nothing. Or something. FWIW, she is almost 5 months old. If it weren't for the cold, I would probably let her cry/fuss it out a little longer than I have. I offered Tylenol the first night, convinced that she might be in pain because its so unlike her. That seemed to help. Last night, not so much. Thoughts? Commiseration? Caffeine? (I am tired).
This was us exactly a few weeks ago, minus the just-waking-up-to-eat part after finally getting her to sleep in the first place. She was just up all. the. dang. time. I thought it was teething, so I gave her Tylenol for a couple of nights, but it didn't really help. We transitioned from the RNP to the PNP and it was NOT helpful. Once we ditched the PNP and put her in the crib, it was much better, however. We also put her in the Merlin sleep suit and she loves that thing. Things are much, much better now.
Here too, though without the cold and he's giving us 3 hours between wake ups. Monday he gets his shots and then I'm back to work on Wednesday. Should be real fun.
I get longer stretches out of him in the RNP so that's where he ends up in the early morning hours. I'm not feeling so hot tonight so he ended up there earlier than normal.
I'm counting the days until we Ferberize him the week after Christmas.

She did the same thing last night. I have had her in the RNP due to a cough. Finally out of desperation, I put her back in the crib and she slept all night. I don't know if it was a fluke or if her issue was she wanted to be out of the RNP. Tonight we shall see? Thanks for the commiseration.
