Not really, but I did go on a date with a more muscley, clean shaven, not douchey Scott Disick look-alike.
It was really fun, low pressure and didn't linger uncomfortably long. We set up another date for this weekend!
I'm feeling a little cautious since he's military and exH was military too. I've kinda shut down any military dudes immediately because it was such a source of contention previously, but I'm giving this a shot.
As former military, let me just say please don't let one (or two) losers turn you off from a whole demographic. While there are assholes in the military, there are many many good guys. I've always told people that military guys are just a cross-section of the general population. They are not inherently better or worse just because they are in the military. DH is the best guy I've ever dated, and he's the only one of my husbands not to have been kicked out of the military. (True, but TIC)
ETA: I feel like I should clear that up. All 3 of my husbands were in the Navy. XH#1 got kicked out after we divorced. XH#2 got kicked out while we were married, the circumstances around that played a part in our divorce. H retired from the Navy after 22 years.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
Yay for a great date! I love good date stories. I think need to get over a similar a mental block of not wanting anyone who is like XH.
The thing is, other than being in the Navy, this guy is nothing like exH at all. I just know it's a small world and didn't want to maybe end up with someone who knows him.
