what are you giving away to trick or treaters this year? are you taking your LO? what are your logistics of this night....who is staying home to pass out candy, who is taking LO out?
2.4 years. Her daycare teachers told me this morning she has been having a rough couple of days. Not listening, tantrums, time outs, etc. that's not how I like to start my day.
We are putting candy out but will not be home. It's unlikely that anyone will come to our house. We have a long driveway. But H picked out raisenets
We are going to our friend's house who lives within walking distance to downtown and then we will be trick or treating in her neighborhood. Blb is going to be a giraffe, I'm going to be a mommy giraffe, and h is going to be a zoo keeper.
15 month check up in a couple weeks b/c I procrastinated.
He's dancing, so cute! Sometimes blows kisses. He lays his head in my lap when he's ready for bed. He can hug when I ask for one. And he understands a ton of what I'm saying and follows directions. He's been sleeping 6:30-7 this week!
N & I are taking E to a community Halloween thing & maybe truck-or-treating. N may hand out candy at my house after.
we had boys 12mos visit last week, and we ended up skipping the flu shot because of his egg sensitivity. he referred us to an allergist, and we will need to make an appointment for him soon. he is 80%ile height 30%ile weight, so he's tall and lean.
bjl got her flu nose mist thingy. it was super easy, and she didn't even notice it. all week, we were prepping her up for a shot, and when the dr came in, she rolled up her sleeve and was ready. it was adorable. we didn't know the mist would be an option for us.
no major milestones for bjl. boy seems to understand a lot of what we say, and that's awesome.
i'm not sure about logistics yet. i like to give out non-candy items..so far i have bubbles, stickers, and stamps..but h is going to the store today to fill in the gaps with candy, but i told him to look for some non-candy, too. if you haven't already picked out what you're giving out, don't forget about kids with food allergies.
jennlin I am so jealous that bjl was able to get the mist! I took the girls in Monday and M wasn't even given the option she was just given the shot. It has been since she was 12 months or 18 months whenever they do the last shots since she has been poked. I tried talking her up to being "Brave" and all but once it came down to it she cried before she was even on the table since they still do them in their legs even at her age.
Last visit was Monday to get J's 2 part of her flu shot and get M's shot. M dragged out the drama of it for the rest of the day while J was good after about a minute and quick snuggle.
No real milestones. We are still working on getting J to walk but she is a 'I do what I want' type. M is getting really funny about music lately. She has always been into dancing and music since she was little but now she is trying harder to memorize words to her favorite songs and she just goes crazy when they come on the radio. Her lip syncing when she doesn't know the words is hilarious.
We are giving away whatever candy we least like from both the outings we are doing thursday and friday (weather depending) and then we got a mixed bag of stuff we will also give away, oh and the couple bags of blah candy the in-laws sent in a Halloween box for the girls. Tootsie rolls anyone?

Mm I'll take the tootsie rolls!! They are my favorite!!
Walking with assistance, new words, figured out how to suck through a straw/pouch

We are having friends (who also have a LO) over for a brief trick or treating at a neighborhood event, then dinner/drinks while handing out candy at our house. And xanax for the pup. ETA: Funny thing. We are not handing out candy. We never hand out candy. We always hand out glow bracelets. Yet I still call it handing out candy. We are all dressing as monsters, in honor of J's growling habit.

cdmay where do you get your glow bracelets? i used to buy the 15pack from michaels, with a 40% coupon..i used to buy them for my dogs for camping..but i haven't been in a while to see if they still have them. i know target has them in the $1 section, but i don't know how many are in the tube.

11 weeks as of yesterday.
Next appointment is in December for her four month visit.
She starts daycare on Monday! I can't believe it's already here. I'm so excited for her, though. I know she's going to love it. We went to visit today and she gave the teacher some bigggggggg smiles.
We got Reese's and an assortment of Hershey's. I don't know how many trick or treaters we'll get, so I want stuff we like in case we end up eating it.
Cili is wearing her costume to my office's Halloween party tomorrow, but we're not going trick or treating. I'll wait until she's old enough to appreciate it.
We did go to the pumpkin patch, though! We still need to carve them.
Girls are almost 3 and a 4 month old Next doctor visit is 3 year and 6 months. Am I crazy for scheduling these back to back? One trip sounds nice but not shots for both... No new milestones... Trick or treaters are getting an assortment of candy to choose from my husband picked out. I can't eat the chocolate so I'm bah humbug about it. My parents are coming down so they will stay with baby while we both go with S. we are excited too. Hopefully no meltdown putting on costume like last year

Not crazy. In my opinion I'd rather do it all at once, so if they get cranky its one day of just laying low while they both process it out. Instead of doing 2 separate trips, and two days of cranky shot induced kids.
