My kid once at a pint of blueberries while I was getting his brother down for a nap. He learned his lesson on that one. I never keep treats at kid level. I left the Halloween bucket down for a minute and he had dumped it and was sifting through.
I'm seriously considering giving Joey Benadryl before bed when I try to sleep train Mallory next week. It knocks him out. My biggest fear about this crib transition is having them both awake and crying all night because she won't shut up. But it has to happen. She's back to getting up every 3 hours all night and I think it's because she's getting woken up by me getting up to pee and DH snoring.
What about a sound machine to help block out the noise?
Some of you may remember my grandmother passed away last week. Well she was cremated and her box of ashes came in a bag from the crematorium. The bag is a reusable grocery bag with the name and logo of the crematorium.
Confession: I told my uncle I wanted the bag and I fully intend to use it.

I was running on the treadmill at the gym yesterday. I usually watch TV, but I had it off this time. I was mesmerized by the reflection of my own bouncing boobs.

He might surprise you. DD has been a real hit or miss sleeper, and we struggled for a long time with her getting up in the middle of the night. I was terrified to move DS to his crib and mess up her sleep habits once they improved. Once we finally just did it, though, I was shocked. His crib is like three feet from her bed, and she sleeps through everything. She can't fall asleep if he's crying, but once she's out, it doesn't seem to bother her. We do have music or white noise playing, but dude can still be really loud.

I have another. We have DD's P-T conference today. I dropped the kids off at my parents' half an hour before I needed to, and now I'm sitting outside school eating a Burgerville cheeseburger and sweet potato fries. Yummmm.

Today I am wearing a hot pink skull and crossbones t shirt from my pre-kid days (DS loves it and calls me a pink pirate) and some new-to-me Old Navy jeans that I just got from goodwill. I guess my Halloween costume is "16 year old" aka "midlife crisis."
Ava is really out of sorts today- she slept until 10, laid on me until 11, went back to sleep until 1, and now she just wants to be held. I'm so bummed we will probably miss ToT. Isn't that so lame?

Awww I'm sorry hope she feels better, I hate when the babies get sick! It's been going around. Poor thing!!!

I am still pissed off about who won Project Runway. I know it's just a show, but holy hell they got it so, so, SO wrong.
I imagine this is flameful because it's a tv show and does not affect my life in any way shape or form.
I swore I would never watch the show again after the season that Anya won, but I caught this one halfway through and hooked myself again. I don't mind the final choice overall - I actually didn't LOVE any of the final collections, so any one of them could have won (or all could have lost? ).
I'm also recording Threads and All-Stars. Sucked in all the way!

I called the pediatrician this afternoon because I thought J's umbilical granuloma had come back (which I don't think they actually can). I went to change his diaper and there was a blackish/green ball in his belly button that I thought was some sort of horrible infection, or his bowel coming through his belly button (IDK, I am crazy, too much google). Anyhoo, right as I am on hold for the nurse I get up the courage to "remove it" and come to find out it's a sprouted bean thing from my salad at lunch today. HAHAHA, he was asleep in the Ergo while I was eating and I must have dropped some down his shirt. BUT instead of telling the nurse what it was, I totally lied and said it was a big piece of skin and that I really think everything is OK now.

I should tell you about the time I was convinced L had lost a bit of his tooth, just to find out he had been chewing on a very tiny piece of candy-cane....the thing looked just like a tooth, though, dammit!!
