Just landed in Minneapolis for a wedding weekend. Husband is a groomsman so rehearsal festivities tonight and wedding tomorrow. I will be brunching and shopping with a girlfriend from college (actually the woman who introduced husband and me) while he does all the getting ready photos tomorrow.
I am ready to get the damn candy out of this house so I will stop eating it. We do enjoy the kiddos, it sounds like TorT will kick off about 5pm in our area. Neighbors over for apps and cocktails.
We actually have no real plans for the weekend. I think Mr. Pom is going to drag me out to look at golf carts, since he thinks he needs to have it to take to the beach.
We are planning on staying in. It's rainy and we live on a pretty big road, so we probably won't get many ToTers.
I had a husband fail and reject msniq's idea of a Labyrinth themed group costume. I didn't have the balls to go as the goblin king. Literally.
Saturday we are going to a friend's after Halloween party. They do it every year to get rid of candy and give kids an excuse to wear their costumes again. Then a Dia de Los Muertos party at night.
Sunday is church and groceries.
Somewhere in there I need to go commuter bike shopping.

Have a great weekend. I hope the fall colors are still there in MSP. It was gorgeous when we flew through there a couple of weeks ago.

Not much of anything thankfully!
We usually get a good number of kids trick or treating so we will probably just hand out candy tonight and watch some DVR'd shows after the fact. Tomorrow we have nothing planned. Sunday I was supposed to run a 10k but I pulled my hamstring earlier this week so that's up in the air. I'm so excited to do nothing all weekend. I'll probably organize some of the clutter we have been shoving in various rooms/closets but that's about it. And the house cleaner came for the first time earlier this week so no cleaning either
Tonight we are going to dinner somewhere close, because we're too scared to try to make our way around the Halloween Parade. And alone, because most of our friends live on the other side of the parade. Ha!
Tomorrow night I am going out for dinner/drinks/dancing with friends because one of them is in from Bermuda (hug) :drink:
Sunday I will be a bad friend who does not cheer on my marathoner friends because I don't think I'll be capable of getting out of bed (see Saturday night)
Happy halloween! I am loving all the adorable pictures of children and pets in costume. Such a fun day to be a part of social media!
I am so excited for the weekend, even though it's relatively low key. Tonight we're handing out candy, carving pumpkins (better late than never, I guess) and watching a scary movie or two. Tomorrow night we're going to a haunted house. October has been a really busy month, both socially and with BF's school commitments, so we're both ready to actually spend some quality time together and do the stuff we've been talking about doing all month but never had time (pumpkins and haunted house).
We're also probably tailgating before the college football game tomorrow, then watching the game either at home or at a bar. It's probably the last chance to tailgage this year - only 1 more home game we're in town for, and it will likely be too cold to be fun.
Taking my girls ToTing in 40 degree weather. I hate Iowa. One year will be nice, the next will be freezing cold. Grrr.
Remind me if you told me where (about) in Iowa you are?
I hate that it was so nice out EVERY DAY lately and today is the first super cold day. It couldn't have waited a day? I don't even have kids and I'm annoyed for them.
I have to clean my car today, and take wyatts official Halloween photo. Then he is going to MILs for the night and we are going to dinner and a non halloweeny bar.

West central Iowa...Carroll County.
Are you in Iowa as well? All flipping week was nice, then yesterday it got cool, and then BAM! today was really cold. My girls wore their winter coats to school today.

Iowa City. Yeah, it was 30 degrees this morning! It was cold yesterday but better than today. And last weekend I wasn't even wearing a coat! Such unfortunate timing.

So excited for the weekend! Today is also DH's birthday, so its double the fun. We are going to hang out in the garage tonight, watching movies, eating pizza and drinking while we hand out candy. It's easier than having the dog bark after every doorbell ring. Tomorrow we are headed down to San Diego and taking a private sailing charter for the afternoon. Sunday not sure yet, but DH will get to pick since it's his birthday weekend.

Bummer. I just got a picture from friends in Northern Michigan with snow everywhere. Poor kids, it always seemed like it was a crap shoot if kids might need to wear their costume over long johns or a snow suit.

DD #1 has Tae Kwon Do class tonight. Then we come home, eat a quick dinner, get the girls in their costumes, and meet the rest of the neighborhood kids at 6:30 for pictures and ToTing.
Tomorrow morning, #1 has a two mile endurance run at 8AM and TKD class at 11:30. The rest of the day is pretty open, although she has to run a few miles as part of her black belt testing requirements.
Swim lessons for both girls on Sunday morning. Afternoon is for relaxing, and having #1 finish her testing requirements (some more running and a short essay).
Somewhere in there I might need to go grocery shopping. Unless I decide to take eating off the schedule. And honestly, when given a choice between that and going to Wegmans on a weekend, being hungry or surviving on PB&J sandwiches starts to sound pretty good to me!

Tonight we're hanging out in our neighbors' driveway: firepits, pizza, wine, and a million trick-or-treaters.
Tomorrow is a study group at our synagogue, then dropping off a meal for friends with a new baby. Then, train to New York for an early dinner with my sister (in town to run the marathon), aunt, uncle, and cousins.
Sunday, we'll go to NYC again to catch a 10-second glimpse of my sister. I'm also hoping to do something easy (applesauce?) with the last of the 30 pounds of apples we picked last weekend.

I know, last weekend I did my clinicals and didn't have a coat on when I left. It was beautiful outside.
I will be in Iowa City soon...my oldest has to have an MRI done for her spine and then in January sometime she has to have surgery to have rods placed for her congenital scoliosis.

Tonight is handing out candy to ToTers, hoping we get some despite the rain.
Tomorrow I'm running errands and cleaning. MIL bought a sailboat randomly (which is in poor condition), so H is helping her sail it closer to the house. She is very excited, we aren't as stoked. She really can't afford it, and we are much more experienced sailers and h knows a lot about mechanical stuff so I have a feeling she'll be asking for lots of help.
We were going to take the pups to their favorite store (Petsmart) in their Halloween costumes tonight (Hilo is Batman and Kona is Supergirl) to see their favorite groomer, but it's rainy and we got lazy.
So we'll take them tomorrow and also going up the mountain where it's colder and snowy to take our holiday pics.
Sunday...not sure yet. Probably lazy day cleaning up the house and catching up on TV shows.
I don't think we have any plans at all for this weekend.
I'll make potato soup for tonight, and I think I'll also get some wings and something tasty for dessert. I bought candy but I doubt we'll have any TOTers to take it. MH invited some friends over, but they may come late (or not at all) because their family treats Halloween like it's Christmas - haunted house, elaborate costumes, etc.
Our new couches were delivered this morning, and I covered them up with blankets before I left for work in the hopes that the cats can't get to them. Our coffee tables and the old couches are sitting in the dining room, so we're going to need to do some re-arranging when we get in from work.
I wanted to do something like this with our black cat for today, but she's horrified of costumes (also: sweaters, collars, her own shadow, dust bunnies, loud noises, soft noises, no noises, air, etc.):
I'm taking DS to a party with our neighborhood playgroup. Pizza, ToTing, and we'll probably head home before the s'mores. I'm not expecting him to make it the 1.5 hours of ToTing they have planned.
Tomorrow it's supposed to be rainy and cold, so not much planned outside of painting the laundry closet and getting the doors painted (hopefully).
Sunday is grocery shopping, running a 10k on the highway that opens up in a couple weeks, then hopefully out to dinner with a friend.
