Under FSA Dependent Care eligible expenses, preschool/nursery school is listed. My child is enrolled in a stand alone montessori preschool (not a daycare facility). I'm getting mixed information from HR and the FSA company on whether my situation qualifies. Does anyone use their FSA for preschool tuition only? I don't want to put that money aside and not be able to access it/lose it.
The school is for children aged three to six. My child is three. They don't have the term preschool in the name at all. Is that logistic going to be problematic?
We did it. I just had to make sure I was making more money per year than preschool cost.
ETA: sorry, I meant more money than I was taking from FSA. There's a cap. I only mention this because I remember my SAHM friends being confused about whether they could do this or not. (The answer is no.)

The child has to be attending school so the parent can work. If the kid is going to preschool for purely schooling purposes (not in place of daycare) then it's not an eligible dependent care expense.
