my prenatal doesnt have DHA, and i had been taking cod liver oil for years so i kept taking it everyday.. i just read that its not safe during pregnancy. im about 7.5 weeks. should i be freaking out? i'm a little panicked right now.
At 7.5 weeks pretty much nothing you consume is going to do any harm. If you aren't sure then wait til you speak to your doctor before you take it again. No need to panic.
It won't have an impact at this point, so no worries there.
I also take a daily fish oil supplement that has been tested and shown to have very low levels of any harmful things in it, my OB said that it was fine...
I thought the Vitafol vitamins with DHA were pretty great, I got them from my OB initially - now I just take the regular Vitafol vitamins without the DHA and have my fish oil supplement for the EPA and DHA.
