DH just took DD out ToTing (just up and down our street, obviously at 8m she is too young to care). We have not had any ToTers ring our doorbell yet. I am drinking a glass of Sauv Blanc on ice (it wasn't refrigerated…) and eating York patties. Yum.
My friend posted on FB that he blames all the Elsas for the snow we got today.
I have had 11 ToTers so far. It was really fun to see them, but I'm ready to put PJs on and catch up on the DVR. Two more hours! I am really looking forward to next Halloween when I'll have a kid to dress up and ToT to a few houses!

We went up and down our block before DD said she was too cold and wanted to go home. It snowed today, and we have a wind advisory, so we weren't too sad about coming home. We've had a whole 5 trick or treaters. The streets are almost entirely empty.

We carved pumpkins and decorated the front door during DS1's naptime. I hope we get some ToTers this year! We're skipping going out ourselves this year, way more trouble than it's worth with the baby and DS1 doesn't know enough to care anyway. I'm a little sad to miss my chance dressing up a teeny baby for his first Halloween, though.
I am sitting in the living room, next to the front door with DD in the RnP so I can get up before people ring the bell. DH is keeping the dog downstairs. Halloween is her very least favorite holiday.
Nursing G to sleep now. We visited with neighbors and then came in when it started to rain. We still have approx. 1,483 pieces of candy left and I couldn't be happier. Lol
We hit up maybe 5 houses. In order, C's favorite things were looking at people's cats, ringing doorbells, and then the candy part. I'll call it a success.
The weather here is shit. Cold, rainy, and high winds. Still, we went through 10 bags of candy in an hour. Now some of this is due to my father's tendency to dole out handfuls but, regardless, we got a ton of kids.
We took C to our neighbors and few houses across the street. She LOVED it. A couple houses had specifically set aside baby friendly treats for her - animal crackers and goldfish. Too sweet.
Major fail! I bought 48 beanie babies, 60 glow sticks, 40 bags of various cookies and crackers plus two bags of assorted candies. Waited around for an hour and only got two TOTers. Took B out for 15 minutes to some neighbors, leaving the candy and cookies in baskets inside our vestibule. Come back and it was ALL gone. People suck. Had to turn the lights off already.
Hold up. Mars bars are still produced? C'mon Canada, you've been holding out on us?
We sat on our front porch for an hour with DS and then it got too cold so we turned off the light at 7. We saw the neighbors' kids and that was good enough for us.
We had 0 Elsas, 0 Annas, and 1 Olaf. Every other Disney princess and Pixar movie was represented. The trendy costume was superheroes for both boys and girls.

We only went to one neighbors, but E loved carrying around her bucket. Got the normal amount of TOTers, maybe a bit more.
Our neighbor gave E a couple pieces of candy. As soon as we got home she somehow figured out how to open one and took a bite. She was so proud of herself. Don't worry we only let her have a bit.
Now she's down and DH and I are drinking and heating up some mini tacos.

It's raining pretty good here and it's only 5pm. I'm sitting on the porch with DS2 waiting for DH to get home from work and DS1 to get home from the grandparents. Not sure if I can convince the kids to go out in the rain or not.
We just moved to the neighborhood a month ago, so I'm not sure how the TOTing is here. Got a couple if bags of candy just to be sure.
DD has eaten a kit kat, some m&ms, 3 mini reeses, and a bunch of smarties. (I didn't give her all of this, lol.) I am cutting her off and we are starting fresh in the morning.

Just shut up shop for the night. Dh dressed as cookie monster and our neighbor was Elmo like last year - huge hit! We had about 120 kids. The house on the corner made their garage into a haunted house with live actors. It was amazing. Yes, I live in one of those neighborhoods!
