FWIW, we live in a rather small town and it's pretty "Mayberry" feeling.
I let them in and it was no biggie, but I was kind of taken back at first. lol. Two moms and their two early school age boys. It was cute. Has that ever happened to anyone else?
On a side note, our neighbors across the street have four boys 1-8 and each boy was a ninja turtle, mom was April, and dad was Sensei. It was adorable.

We have never had a ToTer use the bathroom but we did have a kid ask for a breadstick out of the pizza box a few years ago. We had been handing out candy and eating pizza on the front porch when we had a newborn so the doorbell wouldn't wake her up, and I guess the kid was hungry.

Dd was 3 and asked someone for a drink. She saw the home owner had a drink in their hand. The woman was super sweet. She said yes and gave her a juice box. I was mortified. The woman said she had grandchildren and understood.
My next door neighbor brought her toddler over tonight to TOT, and then I thought she said "Can I pee?" I said sure, even though her bathroom is literally 100 feet away. What she actually said was "Can I peek?" Because we started our kitchen reno. It wasn't awkward until I opened the bathroom door for her.
My 3 yr old wanted to pet everyone's dog and let her self in twice to do just that. On a separate occasion my almost 2 yr old fell right into someone's house twice as soon as they opened the door. We all had a good laugh about that.
