Last year ds1 was 4. He willingly visited 2 houses and we forced 2-3 more. We moved heaven and earth to be able to tot llast year so we swore never again. So we went to the mall this year and everyone is much happier.
SS is 8. We were in a friend's neighborhood and hit approximately 25 houses, maybe? I brought C (15mo) up to about 5 houses because he was getting antsy in the stroller. It was cold here last night, about 30 degrees.
17 months. We went to six houses just about but they're row houses so it didn't take too long. Luckily I had a Batman car seat poncho for him to wear. Maybe 50 degrees?
DD is 2.5. It was cold and really, really windy here. We made it to maybe 10 houses before we turned into the wind, and then DD immediately said she was cold and wanted to go home.

They are 4.5 and 2.5. We went to about 15 houses in our neighborhood. It took about 40 minutes. The weather was perfect for TOTing-mid 50s and not windy or rainy.
ETA: We would have done more, but the big kids were coming out in full force. After DD nearly got knocked over by a group of about 10 10-11 year olds who were running from house to house, I decided we were done.
We are going tonight (we had a wedding last night so we found a town that moved theirs to tonight).
But in 2012 DD1 was 1 and she went in 40 degree weather for like 90 minutes each on two different nights. We just covered her up in the wagon. Last year it was like 45-50 degrees and DD1 was 2 and went for almost the whole 2 hours.
So from reading these responses, we must be hardcore Halloween people lol.
Tonight its supposed to be 35 but feel like 25 and I'm just going to bundle both kids up (3 year old and 1 year old) and probably do at least an hour if not more.

we did! DD is 20 months. it was about 65, nice weather. Our neighborhood is pretty fun. We took dd around in a wagon, and she loved going to people's houses. We only went up to about 10 houses, but several of our neighbors had driveway parties, complete with decorations, food, candy that we hung out for a while. One neighbor was taking kids around on a hay rack ride. We didn't have the cold drizzly weather every else seemed to get.
DD does not know she can eat the candy ,but she loved holding out her pumpkin bag and collecting it. last night she "organized all our candy by arranging it in different bowls for a good hour. This morning she is back to organizing.
14 months, 6 houses, 35ish degrees. We could have done more if his costume was warmer.
He was obsessed. First house he was just trying to run away but then he kind of got it and was grabbing a candy. He can't say thank you (or anything!) So I felt goofy. The neighbors liked seeing him though.
They are 10, 7, 5 & 1.5yrs old. We did approx 10 blocks, with probably 3-4houses on each. The 5yr quit about half way through and just rode in the wagon. The 1.5yr old just rode in a stroller (no actual T or Ting). We were with a huge group of about 15kids & 10 adults. It was cool (lightweight jacket) but a beautiful night.

M will be 3yo in a few months. This year we went to about 50 houses in our neighborhood. It was clear, low 50s high 40s toward the end. A little breezy but not too bad.
We've gone every year. Age 22 months - 40 houses (most of the neighborhood) weather - clear, high 50s
Age 10 months - 5 houses (just select neighbors that wanted to see his costume) weather - clear, low 50s
DD1 is 3.5. This is the first year she went "real" ToTing. It was maybe 45 degrees and dry and we probably went to 25 or so houses in our neighborhood. She was thrilled! We didn't bring DD2--she 'helped' hand out candy with DH.
It was around 50°, my kids are 2 and almost 5. We hit 15 businesses and 30 row houses.
Longer version: We walked to our business district early, dh and the kids hit up a few stores while I got dinner. We then went to visit our usually Friday night haunt, so the staff could see the kids. We then headed home to eat.
After dinner, we went trick or treating for real. We did three blocks of row houses, with about 30 houses participating. We were home by 7:15 and then we hung out with our neighbors while the kids ran up and down the sidewalk.
It was 65 and gorgeous here. Not too cool for lighter costumes but not too warm for heavier costumes.
Dd is 2.5 and we went to 6 houses. She loved it and definitely caught on but she doesn't talk to strangers. Thankfully my niece (7) and her little sis (1 1/2) joined us so my niece was more than happy to be the talker.
8, 6, and 2. It was 50 ish. they made it an hour. Not sure how many houses but it was about a mile. My 2 year old was in heaven and had no problem with all the walking.
I felt pretty cold out once the sun went down. It was drizzly and probably in the high 30s/low40s. DD was just getting over being sick so she really bundled up and stayed with me to hand out candy. She's 4. DH pushed the baby duck in the stroller and walked to a few houses with DS1. He's almost 3. The baby's costume was pretty warm but I still didn't want him out there long. I brought him in and then DH stayed out with the other two for another hour to hand out candy.
They got to really ToT last Sunday at my inlaws when it was nice, warm and no one was sick. They're little enough that they really enjoyed even handing out candy. The main fun is just dressing up at their ages.
