Yesterday was the first day of training for our new poodle mix. They recommended we start using work for food toys, so I bought one last night and put a few pieces of kibble in to try it. She liked it, so I used it for her breakfast this morning.
Now she is wandering around the house sticking her nose in everything to find more food. She successfully found a granola bar in the purse she has been around since we got her. Basically anything that holds something has now been sniffed n searched.
Is this going to be my new normal?
Our other dog can't even figure out a kong, so this is new territory for us,
lol. Smart pup! It sounds like "ah ah!" is going to get a lot of use in your house.
We used to play a game with Dexter where we would hide treats around the living room - behind the TV, under a magazine on the bottom shelf of the coffee table, between sofa cushions, etc. But once he randomly started knocking stuff around with his nose in case there was a treat hidden somewhere, we had to end that game. lol.
