Easy access from Northeastern campus and easy driving/parking from 93-S (if such a thing exists!). One of my college friends is visiting her sister at NEU and we're going to meet up for brunch on a Friday morning. She's willing to take the T/commuter rail out of the city a bit and meet me. I'll be driving down from NH on 93. So what are some good options?
She needs to be on a train at Back Bay by 1:30pm, so lunch is fine, but we want to meet a bit earlier than normal lunch hours so we have time to hang out. Maybe we'll find a coffee shop to sit in for an hour or two and then head to a lunch place? I just want to see her for as long as possible since she lives on the other side of the country
I don't know what you consider to be easy parking, but I love Trident Bookseller's on Newbury Street. There's street parking if you can find it, and also a garage right across the street.
I like the idea of Mike's City Diner, since it's close to NEU and not far from the highway. What are the chances of me finding street parking on a Friday morning at ~10am? Parking garages are so expensive!
Alternatively, my friend could take the orange line to Sullivan station (where I can pick her up on my drive in or she could walk) and we could go to The Neighborhood (which was AWESOME when I went a few weeks ago). liveintheville -- any idea if parking there will be feasible on a Friday?

I went to NEU and some of my favorite brunch spots were Stefi's on Tremont and Church (its by Fenway and an easy walk through the Fens). I also loved Thorton's but its not really a "nice" brunch spot. Food is great for a hangover though!
There is a parking garage on the NEU campus on Columbus (right next to ruggles station) and it was $5 on weekends even for non students when I was in college. I don't know if this deal is still active but I would look into it, its NEU owned:)

I think you should be able to find parking pretty easily on a Friday. Whoo Neighborhood!
We ended up going to Mike's City Diner. I found a free 2-hour street parking spot on the street near NEU and we walked over. Loved the french toast and corned beef hash! I brought half of my meal home because it was so much food
