I eat approximately 2000-2200 cals per day. My protein goal is 140-160g (at a bodyweight of approximately 135lbs). My carb goal is 125-150g, with most of my carbs being in the post-workout window. I eat fat to satiety. I do eat white rice postWO. I also do a postWO protein drink that contains maltodextrin powder for postWO carbs.
I can't do any sort of protein powder at all. I've tried them all and it just screws majorly with my stomach.
What does your typical food day (as in actual foods) look like?
B: Always the same. 3 scrambled eggs, 4oz seasoned ground meat. If I'm doing turkey (which is obvs leaner than beef), I may also do a cup or so of roasted vegetables. L: Today I'm having some beef and vegetable chili (probably 2-2.5 cups) with 1-1.5 cup roasted broccoli. PreWO: Banana PostWO: 1 scoop Progenex recovery, 1/6 cup carbogain D: 1/2 cup white rice and 1/2 small white potato, each with some Kerrygold butter. I'll probably eat about 6oz of roasted chicken or 6-7oz of fish - not sure if I thawed out fish or not. Another cup or so of roasted vegetables. I'll probably eat some 82% dark chocolate as well.
I'm actually fairly close to what you're doing, then. I just need to add more to my breakfast, and a post WO recovery.
Breakfast is SO important for me. I find that if I eat any starchy vegetables at breakfast, I end up having blood sugar issues throughout the day. That's why I do primarily fat and protein. I feel like it sets me up for success the rest of the day.
