“Life is not orderly. No matter how we try to make it so, right in the middle of it lose a leg, fall in love, drop a jar of applesauce.” - Natalie Goldberg
i'm sorry he is regressing. but, it is normal. so there's that. the only solution i have is something that i think you don't want to do yet. and that's fine. can you try something milder, like the no-cry sleep solution or something? i personally think that the older they are the harder it is, so hang in there and work on it now, so you aren't dealing with this later.

Tell me.
I agree, I think it's harder now than it would have been when he was younger.
I don't know if we can do the whole pick up, put down thing, because it seems to drag out the crying part. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Yeah, H is in charge of the going in part and that's pretty much where we are. The more he goes in the more he cries. We just need to do it. like I said, the initial putting to bed is down to under a minute of crying. It's the waking up that's killing us.
I am a wimp when it comes to CIO, so I typically wait out these phases. So far it seems to have worked with L. So right now I just do what works. I put M to bed, when he wakes crying I give it a few minutes. Occasionally he settles down. If not, he gets plopped in my bed.
He is cutting incisors so I know that's part of it. And he's itchy from his eczema.
