Yesterday I requested that my medical records be sent from my old doctor's office to the new RE. This morning, I get an email from the RE's office saying the request was returned to them with a note "no patient found." What the hell? I was a patient there for 5 years, saw multiple doctors in the clinic. I am most certainly a patient. So now I have to figure out what the problem is, how to fix it, and worry that my records won't get there by Monday (they won't see me for my appt without them).
Also found out last night there is an issue with our insurance that was supposed to start Nov 1. DH is working on figuring out what's going on there. But between these 2 things, it's looking like I'm going to have to reschedule my appt. Ugh.
Man, I am really ticked for you! Someone in records at your old office needs to get with it. Let me know what you find out about DH's insurance....did his employer mess up somewhere or it is a situation where he hasn't gotten his cards yet? If he's got the coverage, his HR should be able to print out a temporary card showing Nov. availability.

Well after a couple of phone calls my records issue is hopefully being resolved, however I won't feel better until I KNOW it's resolved.
The insurance issue is being fixed but not before Monday...so I can still go/my coverage is in effect but I'll have to pay OOP and then file for reimbursement with the insurance company. Boo. As if I haven't been spending enough money lately.

We have coverage but they can't print us temp cards because we haven't submitted the marriage certificate yet proving me as a spouse...which we can do Monday once I get all of my stuff from NJ. You have 30 days to do that, and apparently you're covered, but you can't actually USE your insurance. It's really annoying.

That is crazy! I've never had to do that. The only time I had to submit a marriage certificate was due to a dependent audit at my last office. They had randomly drawn the names of 1,000 employees and we all had to submit proof of the relationship...but I had been with the company for over 2 years when that happened.

Yeah I can't remember if last time we had to show the certificate...it wasn't on my radar this time or I would have just brought it down with me. Or I could have asked my mom to fax a copy since I know exactly where it is... had I known it was going to prevent us from using the insurance, we would have submitted it, but we were told we had 30 days. Which is true, but not really.
HoneySpider Not to stir the pot....because I know you're frustrated already...but it sounds like to me that their HR department could have done this (edit: Asked for the certificate) prior to you guys moving. They had time. Although, I wonder if they had to wait due to his start date/entering him in the system....since technically they couldn't have asked about his marital status prior to putting him in. But still, I"m frustrated for you.

MrsMB I don't know. Normally it would be NBD at all but lately it just seems everything is this way - everything just has to be a few steps harder than it really needs to be.
@related... I'm tired of this swelling. Good thing is that I seem to have lost a pound since last night. Bad news is that I have still gained 2 over the last 24 hours.

This medical records request is a complete shitshow. I heard back from my new doctor's office, they said the request was rejected again for "no such patient" and when she tried to call she couldn't get anyone and they still haven't returned her call. So I just called again to yet another number, talked to yet another person, got yet another fax number. But this person said it typically takes 7-10 business days to process (really?) so that won't work. UGH! I do not need this today (or ever, really)
So many ((hugs)) HoneySpider I'm really sorry this typically simple process is so unnecessarily frustrating and full of hurdles. Praying it gets resolved soon and that your new RE is awesome with lots of great advice and answers to get you pregnant ASAP.
