After putting in MANY applications for different pups and getting "scooped" each time, we finally got matched with a rescue dog! We should be able to pick her up in about a week after she's spayed. Isn't she adorable? She was part of a litter found by the roadside, but my guess is she's a mix of Catahoula leopard dog and yellow labrador retriever, as some of the littermates look very yellow lab-ish. I'm so excited to bring her home! DS has decided that her name is "Marley." I was checking Petfinder compulsively every morning, and so I saw her the moment she was posted and put in an application right away. I got home that night and her status had been changed to "Adopted" and I was so sad! Then the next day I got an email saying my application was pending for her if I still wanted her. I did the phone interview right away and put my holding deposit down on her last night. Yay!
