I've been forgetting about the book club books, so I thought I'd see how it's going for anyone else this month. The poll, for app users, asks if you're planning to read the book -- yes, probably, probably not, no.
The book for November is The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway.
I really want to read this, but I'm not sure it's going to happen this month. If there is a discussion, I'll bump it and join in whenever I do read it.
Sadly, no. I have so much to do crammed into this month and December with being pregnant, it's just not going to happen for either month's book club. And I won't be able to help start up next year's book club if we do one again, either (I'm due in February). I did enjoy all the months I participated in this year, but just wont' have the time to invest next year.

We should do a children's book discussion! Goodnight Moon, The Giving Tree, that creepy one with the sad story behind it... so much to talk about. Congrats, btw!

I am guilty of this too.... I love discussing books, and these are all books I wasn't too read, but I can't get through books as fast as I'd like, so I'm lucky if I can read one book per month as it is. Most of my ' reads' are audio these days. I love discussing books too (no book friends IRL).

I know my problem is my tastes seem to be different from most people I know and I find very few people who have read the books I have.
And in a public forum like this one, I worry about spoilers, even unintentional ones, so I'm very, very cautious about what I do say.
Maybe next year we can do just a few months at a time. It might regenerate interest every quarter or halfway through the year. I did pretty good early and fell off after Agatha Christie, plus I had to wait too long for goldfinch at the library and it took forever to get through. I did want to read this month's, it just didn't happen this month.
