The seller of our new house texted me today to see if we want to buy the following:
- 3 wall-mounted flat screen TVs (I don't know what brand their TVs are, but they're all pretty big. And they're already mounted. One is on a brick wall. One of them is in a thing that looks like a cabinet, and you press a button and it rises out of the cabinet, so it can be completely hidden when not in use.) - their washer and dryer. He said the washer and dryer are Whirlpool Duet with the base/drawer
I texted back and said we'd be interested and we can throw in our two flat screen TVs as sort of a trade. He said he was going to ask $2500 for the 3 TVs and washer/dryer, minus whatever price for our TVs.
We have a Samsung and a Polaroid TV. They're medium sized, I guess? I think the bigger one is 48 or 52 inches. One is 1.5 years old and one is about 7 years old.
So...what would you pay? There's some value in not having to buy new (or used) appliances or deal with wall mounting.
If he is going to take your tv's I would think anywhere from $1250-1750 would be appropriate - $750-$1250 off for both your tv's. It sounds like he wants to get rid of them, which puts you in a good place to negotiate, but $2500 for 3 TVs and a washer/dryer and all the installation is a good deal if everything is in good working condition and not too old.
