Is anyone else watching The Affair on Showtime? It comes on Sundays after Homeland.

I had all the episodes DVRed and binge watched all five episodes yesterday on my day off. I really am liking it, especially because both points of view (Noah and Alison) are incredibly unreliable - I am guessing the actual truth is some sort of combination of their stories.

There was a post on ML about it and people were commenting about how over the top Oscar's character is, and that's what I have to keep reminding myself- this is THEIR telling of the story. I think that w/ whatever happened, they are trying to point fingers as Oscar and, in turn, are making him out to be an asshole.

I wonder if we'll eventually see what REALLY happened - not the entire story, obviously, but enough to show us what Oscar was really like.

I have been wanting to watch it, but keep forgetting to.

I think this is a big problem with the show. It simply isn't must see tv, because it just isn't quite compelling enough. The fix? More Pacey.

Super late to the party but I just watched the first two seasons.  Don't want to spoil anything though - are you caught up?

Overall I don't love it.

Overall I don't love it. 

Yes I am totally caught up with it. I liked in season 2 that they added the ex spouses view points.

osumelissa, I liked the perspective of the exes too. I just.....IDK, I couldn't stand Allison & Noah by the end of the season. They just both seemed sort of awful. And I get that it's suppose to have a lot of sex in the show, but it just doesn't ring true to me. Maybe I'm a prude but what are the odds they found ~6 people to focus on who are super into sex and apparently great in bed?
