DW got her first beta of 118 on Wednesday and her second today was 256. She has to go back on Sunday again for assume a third beta. Is it normal to do three. For some reason I thought it was only 2 (but I have no reason for this). If this is all good what happens next? We will be seeing a mfm due to other medical issues so when can I expect to be released from the re. ?
Oh and I am so excited to be able to ask questions over here now. Feels good to at least gotten this far!

I had 7 which was nuts, but because of my previous loss they wanted to track it up to 3,000 so they knew when they could schedule a viability ultrasound. It was a sloooooow rise.
My H the scientist says it's irresponsible research to draw any conclusion on trends without at least 3 data points (and in my case he was right, our first two betas painted a really bleak picture and things turned around for the third).
I only had 2, I hit their comfort level on my first one (since I went in a couple days later then they originally wanted, my numbers were pretty high to start).

Well, seeing we have the same RE you'll be unsurprised to learn that I also had 3 betas - Tues, Thurs and Sat. It was reassuring for me to know that things continued to rise. She released me to regular OB after my second ultrasound at 7w3d, following the surgery for the heterotopic. Have they scheduled an US yet? I think they scheduled mine after the second beta.
They didn't schedule the ultra sound yes. I guess they will do it after this beta. I hope they call pretty early on Sunday. I will hate to be waiting all day but I know the nurses who are in for retrievals and transfers over at the Brigham are the ones to do all the calls and they don't do that until all the procedures are done for the day. Lets hope Sunday is a light day for them. I hope we get to see Dr. A soon.
I had 3 total. And we saw the yolk sac yesterday, so no more betas. My RE says when we see the heartbeat--I have an appointment next week at 6 weeks 1 day--she'll refer me to my OB.

Is your wife enrolled in Patient Gateway? I was able to see all my results in there long before the nurses called me with them. I think on Saturday they were in by 10am and the nurse called me around 2pm. The previous 2 test days I saw my results by 9am! The nurse would call all "good news!....." And I would be like yup I know!
First pregnancy (not viable) I had 3. Second pregnancy I only had two because my RE says it's okay to stop after it gets to 1,000 and I think I went a little later so my numbers were already higher.
570! so next step is an ultra sound. The nurse yesterday said she would schedule it for when she was 7 weeks which is the first week in December. That seems so far away!!!! Boo. I was hoping for an u/s next week but I am sure the fact that Thanksgiving is next week doesn't make scheduling any easier.

Yay, nice beta! It's funny, they told me 7 weeks too but when the person called to schedule it, it was set for 6w2d. I don't know if they were suspicious for multiples after my 2nd beta and decided to do it earlier or what. I was nervous it would be too soon to see anything, but thank god it was done early and they found that ectopic. At 7 weeks you guys should get a nice clear view of things!
It is scheduled for the 4th. I am playing hookie that day. 9:30 ultrasound and 10:30 with our RE. So no we wait. I am sure the holiday is playing somewhat into scheduling. Looking forward to seeing the bean. I will relax a little after that.
