Quick sizing question

If my friend had a baby a month early last week and I buy a 6-12 month fleece, will the baby be able to wear it until the spring? I'm not supposed to buy newborn sized clothes right? Is there a better size I should buy?

Depends a lot of size of baby.:.mine is 5 months old and just now fits in 6 month clothes but she is exceptionally small. I'd probably get 3-6 months if baby was born a month early especially. Do you know how much baby weighs or weighed?

I have no clue how much he weighs. In the FB pics he looks... tiny.

It also depends on brand. Carter's runs smaller than everything else.

I would honestly go 0-3 months if baby is newborn AND preemie.
