I thought I'd try this here as my first post rather than on TB.

On CD 3 and can temp until CD 14, but then it's a holiday and I can't temp or use OPK's and right after I'm going away to a conference for 3 days. Plan is to BD EOD from CD12 until I go away on CD 17. WWYD - start temping again on CD18 and I hope that I can catch when I ovulated or forget about temping etc after CD 14 and hope for the best?

Really? I usually bring my thermometer on business trips...

Otherwise, I would pick it up at CD 18...I like having more info rather than less (if for nothing other than tracking LP, etc.).

Is there a reason you don't want to bring your thermometer with you? Big time difference?

If so, just pick it back up when you get home. You may still catch your O or at least confirm if you did O while you were away.

Sorry, I wasn't so clear - the plan is to bring it with me. Fortunately I'm in a room by myself so the beeping won't bother anyone. I'm just worried that I'll O when I'm not temping and miss the shift (btwn CD14 and CD 18). There'll be a shift, there will just be a few temps missing.

FF probably won't be able to pick up O with 4 missing temps if you O in that window, but I would temp when possible.

I would bring your therm and your opks and if you can't use them, then fuck it. If you weren't having sex bc you were away, then there is nothing you can do about it anyways. OPKs and your temps won't change when you O. I would just have sex as much as possible before and directly after. I think you could at least use OPKs while on a trip. You can buy a pack of the ones that you pee directly on for while you're away if you're not comfortable peeing in a cup and waiting forever for the wondfos to develop.

I keep the Jewish holidays - I do not use electricity on those days - thermometer included. I could use a mercury one but I haven't come across one of those.
