Jack has a more serious and quiet demeanor, more particular, takes awhile to warm up to some new people, and more determined and focused in his playing.
Henry is a jokester, smiles easily, loves everyone, is loud, jumps right into new things, and bounces from one play activity to another.
When they are together, its not as apparent as Jack tends to follow Henry's lead. But Henry always looks for Jack and wants to be near him at all times.

Mine are still young so the differences are less apparent. But for now...
L tends to hit milestones first - he started crawling first and has now started (wobbly) walking. He is a mama's boy and tends to stay close to me. He loves things that are different shapes, mostly a big box of plastic cookie cutters.
H is an observer. He watches what his brother does then once he has it down will move full steam ahead. He's more curious than L and tends to explore around more. He also LOVES books - well, flipping their pages.
I'm excited to see their personalities develop more as they get older.

Oh, they are SO different, and those differences were very evident from day 1. (ETA: My fraternal boys will be 6 in January.)
"Leo": super sweet nature low-energy highly sensitive, anxious hypotonia/developmental delays (motor skills and social skills) tends to be quiet loves arts and crafts loves animals and nature hates sports conscientious very precise and detail-oriented peace-maker and compliant but when he digs his heels in, watch out! total ingenue high-pitched, sweet little voice
"Oliver": high-energy loves to laugh very spirited, intense athletic loves sports, swimming, acrobatics, superheroes and rescue heroes thrives on crisis and "rescuing" people daring/reckless impulsive intense extremely talkative extroverted has always seemed knowledgeable and wise beyond his years; even as a newborn, he had this "I know what's up" air deep voice (for his age)
ETA: Size-wise at birth they were just 1/4" and 3 oz apart. They had a bigger difference for most of the first 2 years; Leo was noticeably bigger, but the last few years they're usually about 1/2" and 1-2 lbs apart. Leo's taller, Oliver is more solidly built.

Mine are 4.5 if age matters here. And both girls.
One is bigger (32 lbs) other is 26 pounds.
One is blonde ish and blue eyed and the other is very dark haired with dark brown eyes, although in summer I see auburn highlights in both.
One is extremely reserved, takes awhile to warm up to new people, and is quieter even around family. The other is just generally more outgoing. One is very creative. She would color all day if she could I think. The other one fills in hardly any of her coloring pages. And usually just draws a rainbow regardless of what is on the paper.
Both can be sensitive at times, but my smaller one is the more emotionally controlled, if that makes sense.

Mine are just over 4. My husband always jokes that the only way they could be any more different is if one had been a boy.
They're both almost exactly 40 pounds, but they are inches different in height.
The brunette is "spirited". Challenging, always moving, more emotional and less outgoing. But also VERY loving and super imaginative.
The blonde is the happiest child alive. She's pretty easy going and warms up to people pretty quickly. She could play with a couple of dolls or a set of Legos all day long if you let her.
floridakat LOL! I also refused to dress my boys the same but lately they want to! And everything has to be, "the green one!!" I don't have two of the same of any articles of clothing which makes it tough to comply with their demands.

My boys get like that at times, too. Though they have different taste and interests, there are times they like to dress the same or coordinate so I try to have a few options like that in each size.
floridakat wow mine are. So similar to your description! Aside from the size diff they're different in many of the same ways.
Yeah, I've got the blue eyed blonde and the brown eyed brunette, too! It's funny how people react. Most people don't realize they're sisters, much less twins. We call them our "undercover twins", LOL.
I like this question - my boys are identical, so people tend to assume they're the exact same just because they look alike. Yeah, no.
W is more steady and thoughtful. He's more resilient, particularly if something is difficult - he's likely to keep persevering until he gets it. He's very empathetic and tends to be concerned about others' feelings and can be a little anxious at times. He's very precise and surprisingly patient for a 4yo. I feel like I'm giving the impression that he's a quiet kid, when really he's VERY active and noisy - but I swear he has a 95yo man's soul in a preschooler's body lol.
D, on the other hand, is very much a jump-in-with-both-feet kid. He tends to be more impatient than W and gets frustrated more easily if he can't master something instantly. He's a charmer, and will often try to sweet-talk his way out of trouble. He also tends to instigate trouble and then rope his brother into it lol. He's very stubborn and impulsive, and he has a great sense of humor. He's a handful, but is also extremely sweet and thoughtful and loves to help!
I was just talking about this with H today. Talia, the "older" one, is frightened much more easily. Nothing scares Livy. However, Talia also pushes boundaries a lot more, whereas Livy listens when you say no, but starts crying immediately. Livy is much more concerned about what she wears, although both of them only want to wear dresses lately. Talia has more imagination, Livy is more sassy.
What surprises me isn't really how different they are, but more so how much they complement each other.
We recently found out that our girls are identical and since then I have been paying more attention to their differences lol.
K is much more adventurous and curious. She is more likely to study and examine something or someone. E on the other hand is just more smiley and giggles a lot. K is all over the place exploring and crawling etc. While e can crawl she is more likely to stay put for a while and play. She also does this thing where if she falls over will just lay there like a beetle kicking until someone comes to her. She is perfectly capable of rolling over and sitting up etc but she wont. We joke that its her way of seeking attention as the baby of the family.
They are only 9 mos though so their personalities are really just starting to show.

I think how are they the same would be an easier question to answer.....they both have grey eyes. Other than that, pretty much nothing. Their preschool teacher said in all the time she has been teaching she has never seen twins who don't even act like they know each other in school. She wouldn't guess they were related if she didn't know already.
