My 4 month old pup went to doggie daycare for the first time today and I may have stalked the webcam all day and she seemed to have a blast. She has been sleeping pretty much since we got home, and only got up to eat and drink. She is currently just lying in my lap. I have literally never seen her sleep this much ever, she is usually a high energy puppy. Is this normal? I over worry in general and wanted to check that I shouldn't be concerned. Thanks in advance!
Also wanted to include a pic since I am new to the pets board!
Holy crap I bet she's exhausted!! 4months thats it?? My 7 y/o GSP would be completely crapped out after a day @ doggie daycare!!!
She's flippin adorable btw!
Thanks! That makes me feel better. Yea we out our house on the market and had a few showings today so she needed to be out of the house. She seriously has never slept this much. I do get the feeling I will be up at 3 am when she wakes up though!
What a cutie! And yes, this is totally normal. She'll start to be less tired after she gets used to it, but she will still likely crash pretty hard after day care. Quincy is 1.5 and still snoozes all night on day care days, and most of the next morning.

This is why my dog went to doggy daycare as a pup. She just had too much energy and we couldn't keep up with her. We started taking her to doggy daycare and she would come home, eat and crash. It was amazing and even the guy that ran the daycare would comment on the fact that she just wouldn't stop running while she was there. She was a very high energy pup

This is Reese! We run around with her for hours at night and lunchtime and she still has energy. This is why I was so shocked last night! I love running around with her but it was kinda relaxing;)
Totally normal! I work at a dog daycare and see this all the time. If they offer it, you can ask for extra naps to help her regulate herself (or at least this is what we do). She's super cute!!!
