I just got the call from the RE with my beta - 3652 at 21 dpiui (so I guess 5 weeks along?). Holy crap, does that seem high? I think we could handle two, but any more than that, eeek!
ETA: My first ultrasound is scheduled for Tuesday, so I guess we'll find out then!

A high beta isn't necessarily predictive of multiples. 21 DPO is pretty late for a first beta. DW was closer to the twins median on betabase for her betas, but we're having a singleton.
You'll go crazy if you try to figure out how many are in there based on the beta. My first beta was 148, which I thought was high, 2 days later it more than tripled. I really, really thought we were having twins! But, just one. I don't have a list of all my betas, but I was going through my voicemails over the weekend and just re-listened to one, my beta was 40k+ at 6w4d, if that helps put you at ease.
I hope your ultrasound goes well Tuesday! So happy for you!!

Mine was 4100 at 20dpiui. It did turn out that I had two, but one was an ectopic so I really don't know how that affected my numbers. Sometimes ectopics are really low in HCG and sometimes the numbers rise normally. I'm sure it was contributing at least some of that HCG. My first beta at 16dpiui was 675, I remember being surprised at that based on most other numbers I've seen.

Yup! My betas at 21dpo were 4000 and there is definitely only 1 in there! I had 4 follicles at the time of my trigger shot, so there was a chance for multiples, but only 1 stuck.
I had my ultrasound this morning and everything looked good. They only saw one in there and it had a nice heartbeat going. I feel so relieved that we passed this first hurdle. I go back for a second ultrasound on Monday.
DW is 6 weeks 1 day. So you are almost exactly the same! Now I am super jealous of your ultrasound! We have to wait until next Thursday! I am starting to freak out that there are two in there. Gulp. So glad your ultra sound went so well.
