Saw this in the store today - it alleges that with it, you can pump directly into a drop-in liner. It would be nice to have one less pump part to wash but I'm wondering how secure it really is (I don't really like the Medela pump-into-the-storage-bags set-up). Anyone used it?

I used it when I pumped at home & really liked it. We only used the drop ins for bottles so it was convenient. FYI, unless they have changed the kit, you need to buy 2 to pump both sides at the same time.
I have that system love it! You do need to buy 2 kits if you plan on pumping both sides at once.
to answer the question about freezing, no I didn't freeze the drop in bags, because they dont seal. I would use the drop in kit to pump enough for DS bottles the next day, and then if I had extra, I would pump into a regular medela bottle and pour it into a freezer bag when I got home.
I have used the drop ins for freezing, but mainly just when I had a little extra and only needed to freeze it for a week or so (like if we were going on vacation and I had milk in the fridge that wouldn't get used in time) and I just used the lids the system came with.
