Denver area, Leadville specifically. What's the weather like now?
weather.com has been calling for high 60s/low 70s and lows around 40 but my sister said the forecast was the same when she was in Beaver Creek a few weeks ago, and it ended up being like 90.
Leadville is a long way from Denver. In Denver, it's in the mid-high 90's every day right now, but Leadville is usually much cooler since it's at a very high altitude.
Pack/wear layers. I pretty much always wear jeans in the mountains with a tee and take a light cardigan or fleece. It will probably be pretty pleasant during the day and coldish at night.
Haha, that's ok. Just didn't want you to look at Denver forecast and assume Leadville weather would be similar. It's so much hotter down here. Leadville is about 2 hours away and straight up (altitude-wise).
What's taking you there, btw? It's a pretty small town.

Ditto this. Leadville is usually much cooler so the forcast on weather.com might not be too far off actually. I'm a pretty big wimp though so I'd probably think it's super cold when it's not really. I agree with jeans and tees, then sweatshirts, etc for the nights.
Leadville is at 10,000 feet. Denver is at 5,280. General rule of thumb is about 5 degrees less per thousand feet up. It could still get pretty warm during the day, probably 80 max, and COLD at night. Bring your layers.
Denver has been in the mid 90's for weeks now, so if you spend any time there, you will need summer clothes for sure.
I recommend shorts and t-shirts, with a pair of long pants, a sweatshirt and a jacket for each person. You will probably start the day out in shorts, then want long pants and jacket for evening.

Have fun!
That's what I was thinking we'd need which unfortunately means a lot of packing! Ugh. Thanks for the advice though. I doubt we'll spend much time in Denver aside from our travel days.
