Hello! My husband has been offered a temporary work assignment to a suburb of London. We hope to take it sometime next year. By way of introduction, we currently live in the US and we have a 3-year-old daughter. My family lived in the UK when I was a small child and I studied abroad in Denmark in college. I'd love to be going back to Denmark, but I'm sure we'll have a great time in the UK!

I'm scoping out the boards now and searching for answers to my questions. I have no idea how my parents moved across the pond with 3 kids and no internet in the 80s! TIA for being patient with me as I'm sure I'll have more questions.

Welcome to the board! DH and I are 'Americans' (not sure what we are anymore!) living in Scotland for almost 9 years now and we have a 2 year old daughter.

I agree with you - my parents lived in Israel for a few years when I was born and I have no idea how they did it without FaceTime and internet and online shopping!
