We wanted a black, reasonably priced Christmas tree for our office, so I ordered this one on Amazon for $160:
This is what came today...this is what it looked like after 15 minutes of fluffing: Attachment Deleted
It was still in a sealed Wal-Mart box, so I Googled that product and it is currently selling for $39 on walmart.com. The Amazon rep kept telling me that Amazon was "on my back" (lol) about this and would take care of it, but now I need to find a tree ASAP and am leery of buying online. Has anyone seen any black trees in-store? Besides Wal-Mart obviously.
That's what our Christmas tree looks like every year (other than being black). We just fill it in with a lot of ornaments and garland/beads. It's 10 years old and has probably lost as many "pines" as it has on it though. Maybe it's time for a new one.
Oh, but can't Amazon sellers sell their stuff at any price they want to? Sucks, but I know I've seen Frozen stuff for a LOT more money that you can find them for in stores.

Yep. You have to watch out for price gouging with third party vendors.
Five years ago I really wanted to get this Bullseye stuffed animal for my kid for Christmas, but it was right after Toy Story 3 came out and so they sold out really quickly. The only place I could find it was on Amazon from a third party seller and they were marking it up at least 3x what it originally sold for. It was ridiculous and I have cross checked all of my Amazon purchases with other stores before buying since then.
I feel like Amazon is no longer as awesome as it used to be. 2-day shipping is not really a guarantee anymore, shady sellers...well...I guess that is about it, but still!
I had a dream last night that I went shopping for a pink Christmas tree.
I'd love a funky color tree for my bedroom, actually. I'm doing a traditional (real) one in the living area, so I might take a little license and do a second small tree downstairs that is magical and full of whimsey. Not black though, lol.
I have a super adorable tiny pink tree for my counter at work. It's maybe a foot tall.

So true. I ordered cat litter on Sunday. Prime. It should be here today. THAT IS NOT 2 FUCKING DAYS, STEPHANIE.
No joke - our building is historic and was once a brothel. We refinished the original hardwoods in most of the office and you could see where there were once walls creating a bunch of little rooms for the brothel services.
