It's my bday! I slept until 11 today! Staycation is great! Lol I'm going to have lunch with mom, try and return something I ordered from ON and maybe hit up a few stores in that mall. J and I wil either go out or have takeout for dinner.
I respectfully disagree. In law, yes and also in many fields, but not all. I would have gotten laughed out of the office if I wore a suit on my interviews and likely wouldn't have gotten hired for not fitting in with company culture. In fact I was encouraged not to dress up and my second interview was unexpected so I was wearing jeans. Granted not all companies are startups but I this is a very legal-skewed perspective. There are plenty of professional positions where a suit isn't warranted for an interview.
I could see how culture could play a part, I was gearing it towards legal due to knowing berbles (unless I'm wrong) currently work at a law firm. The only other job I have had was as a corporate accounts manager for a large corporation where everyday I was required to wear a suit jacket, so my experience is limited to more uptight careers.
Oh I know how you were gearing it and that's completely valid. It was the "all professional interviews" that I'm disagreeing with. Not all professional interviews require suits. Do many, sure, but it's not a hard and fast rule. It's not quoting on mobile so apologies if I misquoted you.

No, I said that, or pretty much that. I have a problem with saying all/every etc. when I mean many/most etc. sorry!

I work in corporate legal.
But I'm trying to be something OTHER than a paralegal in my next job. I hate it.
Luckily, my mom had exactly ONE suit in my storage unit. And it fits!

Did you just say you are uptight? Just kidding. It is my middle name sometimes. But back to our love of suits. Classic blacks and grays, or fun colors?
