DH and I are not exchanging gifts as we need nothing, and want to take a trip in the spring. My girlfriend was trying to convince me to wrap some of my recent purchases for myself, and put them away until christmas. This was my face: . Why the hell would I do that?! Do you do that for yourself?

Certainly not. I usually wear things the day after they arrive. And when I buy a new bag, I usually move all my stuff into it out of my old bag before I have left the parking lot.

LOL. I am glad I am not the only person to have done this.
As a general rule, no I don't do this. But I will buy a few small things to put into my stocking "from Santa" because my 5.5 year old still believes and last year she asked why mommy and daddy didn't get anything from Santa.
DH and I haven't exchanged in years. What we do is hit the outlets between Christmas and NYE with a certain amount of $ for each of us and buy whatever we want! This is my time to splurge on something I might otherwise think is too expensive other times of year.

I'm thinking a perfume stick, and Taylor Swift cd
Haha. I remember one year making a HUGE DEAL out of the fact that Santa didn't bring my mom anything. She was smart enough to give my dad a gift from Santa. And he...not so much.

I asked DH last night if he wanted to be responsible for my stocking, or if he wanted me to take care of it. He works crazy long hours and I handle 99% of everything. He said "you do it, just make sure you don't get nicer stuff for yourself than everybody else" lol!
