I had a tantrum about the stupid highchair and always tripping on the legs of it. Then I chucked it out. So we moved DS1 to an adult chair, and DS2 to the tall "kid chair" (from IKEA) that sits at the big table. We have a high table.
Sometimes they sit at the "kid table" (also IKEA) if it's just them eating.
Where does your toddler sit? I am curious if many people still use the high chair. I think we did with DS1 until he was over 3..?
Technically, I guess it's a highchair....it's one of the space saver ones that attaches to a regular chair. That's all he's ever had. Just recently he's started not wanting to sit in it, so we've tried just letting him since in the regular chair although that doesn't always go well
Either a kid Ikea chair and table (Mammut, I think), or a regular chair at the regular table. We also have the Urban chairs from Ikea (tall, plastic kid chairs).
I put Charlie in the high chair with a cushion while I was cooking, and Sadie got super jealous, even though she hasn't sat in the high chair in forever.

Yes, these are our 2 setups as well. Gotta love IKEA!

He's pretty much only used an adult chair for the past year. The last time he sat in a high chair was Easter dinner and that was because we were out of other chairs, lol.
He will sometimes prefer to eat at his (indoor) picnic table or the table in his toy room. He refuses booster seats so we didn't even bother buying one of those.

I sold their high chairs last month. We have a little table and chairs that they eat lunch and breakfast in.
They eat dinner with us at the big table. No cushions. They are allowed to sit on their bums or their knees.
Here's a story for you,
Today, Jack was being a little stinker and stealing Henry's food. After the 3rd time I told him to stop, this happened:
Me: "If you do that again, you will have to eat in your high chair." Jack: "No have highchairs, mama." Me: "They are downstairs in the garage. I'll get them out." Jack: "No. No high chairs in garage. no have chairs."
I can't even outsmart a 2.5 year old. I'm screwed.

He was in a booster but refused to sit nicely and swiping things off the table, so we brought the high chair back out and he can be scooted back from the table, Dinner is much calmer with a high chair for some reason.
