Hope everyone is having a good day, even if there's no turkey.
QOTD: Are you an early Christmas decorator? Do you put up your tree before Thanksgiving, at the beginning of Advent, or early in December? If you don't/aren't decorating, when would you like to see Christmas decorations going up around town?

Aww, happy thanksgiving to everyone celebrating!
We are lucky enough to have turkey, and I just had a lovely dinner with friends last night with all the traditional sides. It was a lot of fun!
QOTD: Not too early, I do usually wait until after Thanksgiving to put up Christmas decorations! We normally put up the tree in early December (although we haven't done a tree in a few years since the cats always try to eat it and climb in it)! I guess I like seeing decorations up once it's December. It doesn't get cold or snowy here, so the decorations (which are minimal, due to it being a Muslim country) are always welcome to make things feel a little more festive!
Happy Thanksgiving! Nothing planned today, but I am taking the day off to be home with DS, he had a slight fever yesterday and I don't want to push it (plus I could use a day off with him!). And we're planning a dinner with friends on Saturday so I have to get shopping!
QOTD: been waiting until after Thanksgiving to decorate. Probably will do it this weekend.

Nothing planned here today, though we will host a T-day dinner on Saturday. I'm buying the small turkey today.
QOTD: I won't put up a tree and decorate until a week or so before Christmas. My husband has never really celebrated the holiday (Hindu) other than a lunch with his parents on the day (and that was just normal food & saying Merry Christmas), so he's not a fan of the hoopla. I tell him to get over it.
No big meal, but I spent the day having lunch and shopping with friends. I also got to talk to H for 4.5 minutes. He didn't realize it was thanksgiving, but he knew tomorrow is my last day of work. Technology is wonderful.
For all of this I am thankful.
QOTD: I wait until after Thanksgiving. There is a Dutch? German? Celebration on the 6th that my family picked up when they were in Europe, so mom was decorated on the 6th of December
Going to see Mockingjay tonight. An American friend is having a big Thanksgiving dinner at her house on Saturday, so I'll be taking a 2-hour bus ride out to the country and then spending the night there.
QOTD: Most years I can't really be bothered to decorate, since I usually travel over the Christmas holiday. I like to see Christmas decorations in mid-November. It helps offset the gloom of mørketid. Once daylight savings ends here, the evenings are so dark and dreary, and early Christmas decorations help offset that a bit. It probably helps that they're never really over the top here.
Happy Thanksgiving! We're not doing anything, my husband has been out of town all week anyway. My siblings are all together in Virginia though?. I don't really think I have an opinion as to when Christmas decorations should go up, maybe early/mid November?

Happy Afternoon! I am going to roast a chicken today. My DH is not a huge fan of turkey so decided just to do chicken instead. I do have all the traditional side dishes and pumpkin pie so it should feel like Thanksgiving.
We don't really bother with thanksgiving, though we have gone to a dinner hosted by friends in the past. No Christmas decorations up yet, but today I went out and had my first Christmas sandwich of the year. Mmm Pret Christmas sandwich!
