DH said to me last night, "When are you ever gonna learn your lesson about Pinterest?" as I stayed up past midnight making these stupid cheese and cracker "pumpkin pies" that look nothing like the picture in the recipe!
I'm in the process of making a pumpkin cake. Seems to be going okay so far. Probably because my mom has steered me away from mistakes at a couple of steps. I'm normally a good baker and this isn't a fussy recipe, so I'm not too worried.
Grandma Nugget's mac and cheese? NAILED IT. It's sooo good.
I so not nailed GN Mac and cheese. Second attempt was worse than the first. So I sent H out for emergency velvetta yesterday. It's the ONLY thing I have to show up with besides cornbread (I always nail it). Something about cheese sauce never comes out right (it's obviously my technique and not the recipe)
You don't add the cheese into the sauce, do you? At least I didn't. I did make 4 cups of white sauce instead of 2.5 but that's just a preference for me. Did you buy the cheese pre-shredded?
I have two apple pies currently sliding around the trunk of the minivan as DH accelerates around turns on our way to his parents. My poor pies!!! I can hear them going thunk every time he hits the gas.
Omg how awful! I hope they (and you) survive the ride!
My neice loves the cream-o-crap green bean thing. I don't pay much attention to it and didn't realize until I was done mixing that the frozen beans were trimmed but uncut. Now I have full size string beans poking out of the top. Everyone is going to have to use knives to eat the damn thing.
