So, the biggest thing i have seen posted is OMG black storm trooper! What do you guys think? I can see where some people are coming from because troopers are all clones, but in some of the books they do start recruiting for troopers, so could happen. I think it looks pretty good, reminds me of the originals a lot.
One of the reviews of the trailers said something about how the Storm Trooper might be someone else disguised as a ST. I can't wait to find out who that is at the end with the crazy light saber.
I think that light saber design is crazy, I would stab my self with that lol. I know they made some of the books facts now, and in some areas they do start recruiting ST from areas that don't want to join. I also think with how many ST die they might be running out of clones at some point lol. I do always think of the ST as rockettes, have to be so tall, this build, but I can't imagine color would matter because full body armour you can't tell.
I think a lot of people are reading the black stormtrooper as racism when its just fan boys issues, I think they would be flipping out if it was a white guy too. I mean Storm troopers are not white, I think the actor was Māori.
I mean yeah some might be racist but I can't imagine considering all the species and races already in Star Wars anyone could have an issue with something like color.
I liked it because it has the same look as 4-6, which I prefer far more than 1-3.
But I'm not one for an objective opinion, I forward the International teaser trailer to a friend from work and basically said "Shut up and take my money!" LOL
I did not bat an eye at the black stormtrooper, it's been a long time since the Clone Wars, if the initial batch of clones is Anakin's age and now his son Luke is an old man, they're all long gone. I thought the original trilogy troopers were all regular people anyways, although I'm not sure where I got that...maybe from one of the books that is now not canon?
And yeah the only "stormtroopers" that we ever saw with their helmets off were Luke and Han. Can't be a faceless menacing army of identical soldiers if they are always taking their helmets off willy nilly. So he could easily be a good guy.

But in the clones it shows young even babies being created when he tours, so I could guess they can keep them going. I mean its pretty much noticeable they don't have twi'lek, or wookies as ST, and not all fan boys have read all the books. I love all the talk about it, have to wait a year, but damn if just the tip of what its going to turn into.

That's true but if the clone factory was destroyed that's the end of the line on the clones. I would assume that would be a big target for the rebels, although as far as I've read it was never destroyed but it's a long time between episode 3 and 4*. As far as the lack of alien stormtroopers the Empire was portrayed as being very racist, definitely a "humans only" club.
*after some research on Wookieepedia, it seems you see a lot of the transition from clones to non clones in some of the video games set between episode 3 and 4.

I agree the Empire was very racist, I wonder if the black ST might be the tip, and see some other race ST! That would be pretty Awesome.
Oh lord, thanks to my husband, I know more about Star Wars then I even realized...

Lol I was about to say, I thought you didn't even like Star Wars!
And yeah, if the Empire is hurting for recruits I'm sure they'd relax their standards to get more warm bodies for their army, so we may very well see some non-humans.

*hangs head* I don't, but my life is star wars all the time thanks to my husband, both kids love it, so I think I have picked up more then I even though I did.
Just an idea, how much star wars is at my house, my son has watched the trailer about 15 times since he got home. He also knows the names of all kinds of races, he is in speech, but he pronounced these crazy made up things perfectly.
That 'black stormtrooper' is played by John Boyega. Officially he's playing a 'key role' in the film, but there are some rumors that he's actually the main protagonist. I can't wait to see him in it. He's awesome in Attack the Block--which everyone should see ASAP.
After the re-releases and then the I-III trilogy, I consider all new Star Wars films to be painful until proven otherwise. I will go in with a big fat dose of skepticism, and hopefully be pleasantly surprised.
But the football-droid does not give me a new hope.
