It's been a while since anyone posting about teen mom, are you still watching it?
I must confess that it's getting a little boring to me, every episode seems to portray the same topics over and over. Also, in this season is very clear that the girls and their families are getting tons of money, so the show is even more unrealistic than before.
In this week's episode I was amazed at how Maci and Kyle handled the house buying process. They can't be so dumb, she said she had spent $ 13000 last year in rent and she expects that with owning a home that expense will dissapear, as there aren't taxes, reparations, moving expenses, furniture and utilities you have to pay
I was also shocked at how soon Farrah introduced her date to Sophia. She even asked him if he was sure of being capable of handling the situation. For God's sake girl, you've only had one or two dates and you're already setting those expectations and exposing your daughter to this guy you don't even know! I also loved how she wanted her mom to fly to FL so she could go to TX with this random guy. I was amazed Debra said yes, that wouldn't have happened if Farrah was my daughter, lol.

I can't get over that Kyle and Maci are buying a house together. Well not even together.. it's Kyle buying it. So I guess if they break up at least Maci and Bently can just walk away from the house.
I'm confused as to why Ryan's parents want him to fight for custody. He doesn't have a job and he lives with his parents! Would a judge really grant 50/50 custody?
Amber is worse than before she went to rehab. Clearly she still doesn't handle anger very well and swears every other word.
Farrah didnt want her mom to come down or keep Sophia but then the second she starts dating she wants her mom to watch Sophia for a month? Who goes to Texas with someone they just met? I assume his family will all be there so she will meet them...
As sad as the situation is with Butch I am pleased April is really starting to see how toxic he is for them. I felt horrible for Tyler getting that text from Butch about loving heroin more than him. I hope to heck Butch just stays in jail forever and they can all get some normalcy and positiveness in their lives.
1. They looked at a $380k house that Maci told her friend she could afford and went for a $70k house? Weird. 2. How did Kyle get a mortgage? He doesn't even have a job. 3. Also confused about Ryan's parents stirring the pot like that. 4. Farrah is so stupid. Poor Sophia was buckled into her car seat so bad, the clip was way at the bottom of her belly 5. Why does it seem like everyone has so much more $ than Tyler and Catelynn? He is driving a nice Cadillac, but their other car looks pretty normal. They both work PT and live in a trailer.

I think what Maci meant with paying $13,000 is that there was really nothing to show for it, that money could have went to paying on a house than one that is not yours.
Yes, I want to know how someone without a job gets approved for a mortgage. And she was complaining about having nothing to show for that money she paid in rent, but what does she get if they break up? I assume she will pay part of the mortgage but I doubt she would get any of that money back. Sorry, I forgot.......... they're not going to break up. 8-D
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
I hope that regarding the money situation with Catelynn and Tyler they're being smart about it and saving. Probably that's why they seem to have much less money, but you never know...
Maybe I'm wrong but I understood that Maci said that she wanted the mortgage payment to be equal to the rent she's paying, so I think she's not taking into account the expenses that come with owning a house. I think that neither of them have the slightest idea of what owning a home means. I was confused too about Kyle, I believe he doesn't have a job, so how is he going to buy the house?
I reallly liked Maci before but know she doesn't seem to have her priorities straight. She doesn't work, she doesn't make enough effort at school, she criticizes Ryan but she's doing pretty much the same as him. I loved when earlier this season Ryan pointed out how she gives speeches about abstinence while living with a boyfriend. I think she tries to show herself as a role model but she doesn't have much to show for it, kwim?
It bothered me when Amber went from calling Gary a piece of s on the phone to a piece of crap in front of Amber. It's all the same thing, Amber, and you should refrain from calling him names in front of your child.
I am glad this is the last season. But, I am guessing that, like Laguna Beach, I will still be googling the Moms' names, wondering where they are in five years.

This episode made me so sad for Catelynn and Tyler. Even more than usual. I hate that they had to grow up in such trashy, abusive households and still continue to deal with their parents' messy lives. The domestic violence, the text from Butch... awful.
I agree with PP about Maci. Considering how much they were paying in rent, I don't think it was a bad idea to buy a home. I also think they made the right decision to buy a smaller and more affordable house. I have no idea what the job situation is with Kyle though.
Amber and Farrah are past even being entertaining at this point. I can barely stand to watch either of them and just feel sorry for their poor kids.
Pretty much agree with everything already said. Farrah is such a biatch to her mom, but then when she wants to go off to Arizona with some dude she barely knows, who is the first one she calls to watch her kid. Imagine the hell that would have broken loose if Debra said no. I think Debra said yes just because she loves to spend time with Sophia and it's rare that Farrah wants her anywhere in the vincinity of herself so she jumped at the chance. It IS surprising that Debra didn't have anything to say about the trip though because she usually does.

Yeah, Farrah wanting Debra to take Sophia so she can run to Texas with a virtual stranger is beyond crazy. She is always looking for a mate. I find that very sad. Getting the 70k home doesn't seem like a bad thing. I am glad that Kyle is the only one "buying" the home. That way he is in the clear if their relationship continues to be fickle. I feel so bad for Tyler and Caitlyn they have the worst parents. You love cocaine more than me, yikes! Amber, not worth my thoughts.

I thought the same thing about not letting my daughter jaunt off to Texas with a guy she'd been on 2 dates with, but I'm thinking that if these parents put their foot down more, or were more involved in their kids' lives they might not be "Teen Moms"
And I don't see how Amber doesn't get the hypocrisy of swearing at Gary about his own language choices. And I've been saying this from the beginning (not that anyone is arguing with me), SHE'S the problem in the relationship. It's like she's looking for trouble. He says he's going to give her the kid and she calls him names? Doesn't make a lick of sense.

For the bolded, Amber called while Gary was putting Leah to bed and she wanted her. Gary did the "parent" thing to do and said no, she needed to go to sleep and she got all pissy. Amber if you were any kind of parent you would understand what he was doing.
