With my first I used the midwives at group health Capitol Hill and LOVED them and had great experience. (I used drugs and they weren't judgey no experience with any of their OBs but would recommend the midwives

Is there a particular one she should see?
She can see any. They recommend you see them all at least once before you deliver. I particularly liked Linda Driscoll I believe it was. So I'd start with her
FYI - Group Health providers (both OBs and CNMs) will be delivering at Swedish First Hill beginning March 2015. Group Health Capital Hill is closing their Family Beginnings Unit... Not sure if the providers will maintain their offices in the area, and just deliver at Swedish, or if they will be moving all physical spaces to First Hill. Regardless, both practices are "group" practices with shared call, so as jamer mentioned, if you establish care with one, you establish with all. The CNMs are fantastc, I really like Dr. Dimer too if your friend prefers an MD, she's been there forever. In general Group Health Central (Capital Hill) was a fantastic place to deliver, nurses and providers alike were very low-intervention. I'm hoping they can sustain that after their move to First Hill.
Interesting! Had no idea about this. Like you said hope it remains low intervention. I know they had a great record 3 years ago
