Should the BC board be on the main page

or located here in the Hobbies section?

I think the board would definitely get more traffic on the main page. I wanted to see what everyone else was thinking and then we can request to be moved if enough people requested it.

There have also been posts to where it is located on the other boards.

What say you book clubers?

I just wish all the boards that have sub-boards had an * next to them on the list. Or a + to be able to expand and see what the sub-boards are. Otherwise it doesn't bother me for it to be a sub-board. The only thing that is strange is I'm wondering if the hobbies main board gets any activity?? Too many sub-boards and there's no purpose for the main board anymore.

I think the Hobbies forum is just a holder for the sub-forums. You can not post on it.

I don't have any issue with BC being on the main page.. It was at first, and then several people suggested moving it under hobbies because it was pretty dead & we wanted to clean up the main board list. But if it's going to be active then I don't see why it can't stand alone. As of now though it's not all that much more active than Crafts.

Ellie, I know the main point was to not clog up the main board with a ton of other boards. I know you have the Baby Boards, local boards and main boards separated. What about having a fourth category that contained a larger group of hobbies ie maybe including things like travel and pets. Right now it's a bit weird because there are 0 posts in hobbies and there are only posts in the inner supgroups. If we were part of a collapsible group on the main board that may make everyone happy.

I think it's also important to note that while we may not have a ton of topics, we do have over 600 posts, which puts us squarely in the middle of the pack as far as posts per board. If we're just going based on board activity I'm not sure we really qualify for being part of a sub group because of lack of activity.

Exactly....while sex and romance has like 5 threads.

Ha ya I mean, I counted. Of the 21 boards on the main page (not including hobbies) there are 9 with less posts and one that's only higher by like 20 posts. We're active I tell ya

Interesting thing about this format: Even with all the moving, I have not had to update any browser bookmarks. I have a folder with all the boards I read or post on, and none of the links seem to have changed.

Thank you so much for moving this! It was kind of a pain to have to find under Hobbies.

I swear, the navigation changes every day. Take a second to get used to. I'm sure it will all get figured out eventually.
