So, open enrollment for healthcare at my job is about to open up. I didn't enroll last year when I became eligible, because we were in Korea, and having alternate insurance would have been a pain in the ass here. But, we are moving back to the US soon, so I plan on enrolling for me.
But, can I get coverage for DH? Can he use it if I do? He's been having some heel/foot issues that are not getting resolved via his available options, and he's tired of being told to take some aleve (or whatever) and see if that works...
He's planning on asking the Tricare person "soon", but he's supremely busy at work right now...
Yea, he can as far as I know. I don't know if he can submit it to Tricare as secondary payer though, since he would need a referral for anything off post.

I've been able to do it before as the dependent, and it's a breeze, but for some reason we both weren't sure about what might be the case for the servicemember.
