Has anyone watched The Thick of It? I loved In the Loop and had no idea that it was based on a series!

However, it's been so long since I watched In the Loop that it didn't register that the source of some of our much-loved office quotes are actually from him! My officemate was particularly fond of "Catastrofuck" and "Fuckity-bye."

Now that I'm watching it again, his Doctor isn't all that far off personality-wise from Malcolm! Just swap Clara for a middle-aged government minister. They always think they know better and can go it alone!

Didn't know that The Thick of It was the basis for In the Loop. Thanks for a series suggestion for H and I! We're out of stuff to really watch together.

I adored The Thick of It, but H hasn't been able to really get into it. I confess that one of my favorite things to come out of the long wait between last year's Christmas special and the 8th season premiere was the sheer quantity of Malcolm Tucker/12th Doctor memes. I still think a foul-mouthed 12 would be brilliant.
