So I took my first advancement exam this fall. Results for advancement came out while I was on leave. I wasn't on the list. I just figured I bombed the exam. I actually blew the exam out of the water. I was in the 99th percentile. I was thrilled cause I worked my ass off so I called DH. He asked how many points I missed E4 by...2.27. That's when I noticed my 4 points for my bachelor's weren't calculated. Time to play the waiting game and see if they can get my score recalculated. I'm still happy with my exam score either was but my whole Navy experience has seemed to be a huge string of mistakes that sometimes work themselves out. Typical military? Cross my fingers hope this works out. I just needed to put it out there and am not telling anyone til I know for sure.
And, as far as I can tell, it's pretty common across the military. I've seen it happen too many times to count in the years DH and I have been married, and that's not even all that many years...
AND DH went back to work this morning and they didn't compute all his awards points so he advanced too. I wonder how much of the rest of the Navy this happened to lol?
