We used round steak for stir fry the other night. We also have a quarter cow. Is yours tenderized? It seems to do well with flash cooking like that, so stir fry, fajitas, etc. I believe we've also just seared it in a pan and eaten with sauce and sides. I think it tastes just as good as the other cuts.
My very favorite meal that my mom makes is round steak. If it's long strips then I would cut in half or thirds. Season with salt pepper and garlic salt. Then put a little bit of olive oil in the bottom of the crockpot. Put the meat in and pour a can or two of cream of mushroom soup over the top. Cook for six hours. Serve with mashed potatoes and use the soup in the crock pot as the gravy. Omg. It's so good!
