Ok, I didn't read the article, but the previews they're showing on TV don't look bad. I'm hopeful because I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Red Tent and would love to see it done well. I don't know how that can be done on Lifetime, or anywhere except a feature film, but....maybe?

It's been a long, long time since I read the book, but my reaction to the ads for the movie was "Is there another book with the same title?" But my memory is worthless so maybe I'm remembering the book wrong.
Patriarchy is almost more painful as a chick flickāif only they had true love, The Red Tent suggests, perhaps women wouldn't notice they were being oppressed.

I have read The Red Tent so many times that I have my imagination of what was happening, what looked like what, especially when she cursed Jacob and the sons...I can't seem to bring myself to have that replaced by what the movie wants me to see.
It's like the "Bitten" series by Kerri Armstrong. I have it in my mind, I can't bring myself to watch the TV show.
ETA:I think I'll be more bummed if they decide to turn Kim Harrison's "The Hollows" series into a TV show/movie. Leave us to our imaginations.
