ETA: And wow at planning an office party on such short notice!
30 with SOs--we have about 16 people total working for the company.
Meh, it made me laugh. It's a startup so it's the "Get Shit Done" mentality. If they wanted an outside party or an event I'd be smacking the bosses over the head for short notice. CEO was all, "Oh there's the culinary institute that does wine and cheese classes that would be fun..." and I'm all, "Umm, COO said to do it here so we'll go with that. Oh, and my friend works for a wine company so DISCOUNT!" and he was happy with that. lol
I'm thinking Blue Ribbon BBQ or Sweet Cheeks. I'm also going to decorate the place, because I'm insane. I'm digging the country Christmas theme idea. I'm totally buying mason jars for cutlery

I'll second Blue Ribbon. We use them frequently, and it's always good. We had a bbq judge from NC give it a thumbs up. It's also a little less expensive than Redbones, I think. You could also order booze from Gordon's - they deliver and you can return what's left (if any).
I think Sweet Cheeks Q is a great idea!! I LOVE that place and would be really happy to see it at a work function. I also like Blue Ribbon, but prefer Sweet Cheeks if I had to choose one over the other.

They return what's left? That's nuts! I have a friend who works at a wine company so we can get a discount for wine and will use Drizly for beer since they deliver and we have an account.

We've never had any to return, (our participants are nightmares), but yep, they'll take back anything that's unopened. Sounds like it's coming together - have fun!

That's not uncommon. We work with a liquor store in Providence that will take back unopened bottles after an event.
