What I hate is that there is no discount on buying multiple pots to fill a build your own palette like there is with MAC shadows, which is why I'm doing a MAC custom palette and not an UD palette.
ETA: Oh, and if I had ever tried it, I'm pretty sure that my favorite UD product would be their heavy metal glitter eyeliner!
UD is definitely not interested in streamlined shadow packaging. The last book of shadows was so huge that no one bought it and it was on clearance for $24 by the end.
What's the deal with the palettes? I was eyeballing them at sephora because I had heard you could put MAC and UD pots in the same palette. I'm thinking they must have changed the design at some point, and that sucker is *heavy*.
I think they finally realized they were losing money by having pots that were compatible with the MAC palette. Better for them if we have to buy their palette for their shadows. I do like that you can easily repot the new shadows in their individual pots for travel, but the feature isn't enough to get me to buy them.
I've depotting almost all my e/s's that were in palettes and put them in a Z palette. It makes using them SO much easier and my m/u bag isn't full to the brim with various compacts.
I like the UD shadows as well, but I am NOT a fan of the packaging for most of their stuff.
The one thing I saw about the UD palette, which is nice, is that the pots click in. I've heard the trouble with the MAC palettes is that if you drop them everything pops out.
Stila was on Hautelook on Monday? Tuesday? something this week. I wasn't all that impressed with the sale. It was a bunch of stuff that didn't sell the last time it was on last month, and the prices weren't all that great.
I wish the packaging wasn't so obnoxious, but the shadows & face powders are so great.
I have that palette too. Well, had it. I ended up retuning it because it was an impulse buy and I felt guilty 24 hours after I got it hahaha. That happens to me a lot, sadly.
I like their smaller palettes most and LOVE that they have those little "how-to" cards for achieving certain looks.
I have their bronzer palette which gives me a jLo glow in the summer. Their Amazing Face foundation is also a favorite of mine.

What?! Never feel guilty about makeup. /gavel
That is exactly how I am. And I spend maybe $100 on makeup a YEAR.

I spend this much like every other week Though I've been better the last couple months!
Beauty and Skincare is definitely where most of the money goes. I could dress like a raggedy Anne doll so long as I had nice hair and a pretty face hahahaha
My makeup budget was $100/month but it got scaled back when I maxed out my 401K (IM SO MM!!). Trying to not spend anything unless I need it. This is hard. Still havent made my beauty.com purchase.
I've been good for years, and a few months ago realized all my make-up was several years old and I wanted to have fun again (plus, I had lasik and can finally see what I'm doing). I do need to scale it back, though. DH was wondering aloud where all this "stuff" came from and why is it all appearing at once.

That is when I bought it. Even taking it out of the bigger box it is a still too bulky. Drives me nuts.

This is me minus the making out a 401k haha. Im pretty sure my makeup brushes alone are $600+ If the house is in flames I'm grabbing my documents binder and as much makeup as I can grab. Everything else can burn in flames.
