I watched it last night without my DH but told him before I started that I'd watch it again with him. I promptly take that back. This episode was far too psychologically upsetting for me to watch again. It was a great episode, but I just can't watch it again.
I loved this episode. I felt so bad for Booth but I felt like he almost was happy they took the choice out of his hands. I can't wait for next season.
Gah! Was this the season finale?!?!!? Jerks. I should have known. It was a really difficult episode to watch - especially with how calm Bones was being. I wanted to reach out and hug Booth at the end!
Christopher Pelant was up for parole and they team fought against it. He murdered one of Brennan's genius math professor friends and was framing her for it. Booth, Bones, Sweets, and Caroline all got kicked off the case. They were coming for Bones with an arrest warrant, so with the help of Max (her dad) she and Christine went on the lam without Booth.
It was a great episode! Classic Bones rather than the mess the show has been becoming. And the best part, no car commercial hidden within the script! I seriously hate that.
I used to love Bones, but I have found this season and last season were hard to watch.
Yep. It's just not as good as it used to be. There doesn't really seem to be any excitement or tension anymore. Maybe because Booth and Bones got together? Though I do like them as a couple.

I think its the fact that they got together between seasons. We missed all the good stuff. We go from him finding out she is pregnant to them looking for a place to live. I was fine with leaving out the sex scene, but big chunks were left out that keeps me from loving them as a couple.

I think it was a serious mistake to write Emily's pregnancy into the storyline.
There has just been no enjoyment of Bones and Booth as a couple. And I for one never bought the whole "Oh they were so lost in the grief that they forgot to use birth control" line. The writers should have just put them together for a season and then ended the show with a POAS moment!

I agree, particularly right after we had to deal with Angela being pregnant the previous season. I was hoping the writers would have Bones & Booth get together, have one season as a couple, and then end the show gracefully instead of making a mess like they're doing now and dragging it out forever.
This episode was probably the best one of this disappointing season, but as PP said it should have been built up more. The episode introducing the enemy was so long ago I had forgotten that he was a threat.
