I'm just going to start a bunch of threads and see if anything sticks. Bear with me. So, what are your randoms?
A true hump day random: I realized this morning that there was a heavy smear of lube on our wood headboard. No worries, I cleaned it already!!
One of my favorite coworkers who is also my mentor experienced a sudden onset of a disturbing symptom yesterday. He goes to the doctor today. He's had cancer in the past and is a heavy smoker. We are all nervous.
I ordered several things from Vera Bradley. One of them is missing a piece and therefore defective. They can't guarantee an exchange because item is final sale and may not be available when they process my exchange. They say they will offer a credit instead...except this item was the "free" item of the buy 2, get 1 free promo. So since they won't work with me on this, I'm reordering the identical bag separately, then returning the defective one as part of this second order, not the first one with all my free stuff. I'm not sure if I should feel bad about this, but their customer service has been super unhelpful.
Another thing: I hate how Chase makes me wait a few days before my cashback from previous month loads. I paid my bill, give me my cashback now! Also, I looked at our retirement accounts this morning and I really need to remember not to do that when the stock market has a few shitty days. Depressing!
I turned my car into Honda for a repair today. I'm told it could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 4-6 hours. I have a hair appointment I cannot miss at 5:30. Why schedule these on the same day, you ask? Only day I was able to do both due to work this month...

What type of repair? That's quite the estimate on time.
Scheduling hair appts in December is always tricky. So many things going on, plus everyone else is trying to make an appt, too. Gotta look good for the holidays!

I really hate that every building has the heat cranked way up. It's not that cold outside. So my options are to either sweat or take my coat on/off every time I go in/out. I was sweating earlier so I ended up carrying my coat.

I usually love my job, but this week I cannot get it together. I am exhaused all day and have no motivation to any of my paperwork or to treat patients. I am hoping that being away this weekend and seeing my family helps.

Candy keeps appearing and I don't want to be rude so I just toss it in my desk drawer. Having it there is almost too tempting though too. Might have to give it to H to hide, lol.

Hope you are able to get a nice break and rejuvenate!

Just working on wrapping gifts over here.
I am in a cookie exchange, so I need to bake 10 dozen cookies this weekend!! ...and finish wrapping. I wrap some at work bc I have stuff delivered here, so I wrap on my lunch break, but then the stuff I have at home I wrap at home. Honestly it's easier to wrap at work. more space, no dog hair, no peekers...

It's the week before Christmas - no one is motivated to do any work! Don't beat yourself up over that
I really want to make some no bake cookies because I want them, but I feel like I should make something DH would like too. I have no self control with no bake cookies. They sound so good!
luv2rn4fun any update on baby C? Hope I didn't miss that you posted something already, lol.
Sorry to hear about your doctor running late. It's frustrating...mine has been really late the last 3 visits and it's never fun to wait. I'm lucky that I'm not missing work (but DH is) and that I totally understand why she runs late (she takes her time, has issues come up that are out of her control, etc...I have been "that" patient that should have been a 20 minute appointment but turned into an all day ordeal for her with my losses).
As for the update on C...our appointment was very disappointing. I've made zero progress and have zero signs of going into labor at 40w4d. Thus, we decided to schedule an induction. We originally wanted Monday at the hospital we were planning to deliver but she felt that anything past 41w wasn't really necessary (and is also concerned that I might need a c/s as C is not dropping at all...she fears that my pelvis might be too small, we'll see). So we asked for Friday night/Sat. Well, she called and there were many reasons why our favored hospital would not work (they want to do a NST on Friday, prefer that I be seen by them the last month of pregnancy, and refuse to induce prior to 41w3d without medical reason...which is too close to Christmas and guarantees we would spend Christmas in the hospital). So, we are scheduled at my doctor's hospital (80 min away) for Friday night at 11:30 pm.

Aww, I'm sorry to hear about the appointment luv2rn4fun. C must have missed the memo that he needs to do this on his own! But that's good to hear you can get in on Fri! There is an end in sight!
I'm feeling like I'm going to have a mental breakdown. Some asshole in the parking lot at the grocery store almost blocked me in right before I was going to back out. I said something to him and he just kept on walking. It was hard to get my car out of the spot but I got out. I cried the whole way home. It was like the last straw for me. I wish I could get my mental health in a better place right now

Thanks ladies! I'm praying and hopeful that I can get through this without a c/s. Of course, I'm just excited that I finally get to meet C!! It's going to be a good weekend either way!
