I have been running forever and I don't have bigger feet. The only time my feet have grown is when I gained weight and then they shrunk when I lost weight.
I've always heard (and experienced) that they swell during long distances, but they go back to normal. That's why it's suggested that you buy a size bigger running shoe for distance running, and can help prevent toenail loss and stuff if your feet have room to swell during the run.
That is what I've heard too, but I haven't done any real long distance yet. SIL is constantly losing toenails, she thinks her new shoes are too small, but I guess she is too cheap to go buy new ones?

Mine haven't gotten bigger, but I do have to buy running shoes 1/2 size bigger because I was having problems with my toenail falling off. I still buy my normal size in other shoes.

yes, it happened to dh. He's a full size bigger now than a year and half a go. My feet are also bigger, but I'm pretty sure it's b/c of pregnancy (but they stay bigger permanently). but yes, if you have high arches, they can flatten out and make your feet bigger eventually.

You can also do foot exercises that make your arches "archier" and go back to normal.
